Graduation Present

For my sister’s graduation I decorated her favorite alcohol in graduation robes. I used felt, foam,  hot glue and lots of strings. All of the strings are the actual colors that my sister received upon graduation and wore for graduation.

Daenerys Targaryen Cosplay

During Summer Research my lab would do dress up days and one of the themes was game of thrones. I chose to be Daenerys. The entire costume was made from pieces I either had or things I could find for cheap at salvation army (we would make it a rule that costumes couldn’t go over a budget). I have also worn this costume to Renaissance Faires.

Pi Day!

So this year had a very special date in it: Pi Day, which falls on March 14th (3.14) But this was no ordinary Pi Day, for this year had more digits of pi!! (3.1415). So to celebrate I had a whole day of Pie!!! First I made Quiche, then Spagetti Pie (looks like a bird’s nest), then we ordered pizza and finally I made apple pie!

The Idol

At my old college (Union College), there is a tradition where we paint a statue on campus. It has hundreds of layers of paint on it and is barely recognizable as a statue but is still recognized as the idol. This past spring my friends and I turned the idol into Pikachu. We made the tail and ears out of solo cups and painted using our hands (as is part of the tradition) and added the detailing (the red cheeks and black tips) with spray paint.
